Overview
VistaRae is a Chrome browser extension that lets you label, bookmark, annotate, and set reminders for important parts of your AI conversations. This Privacy Policy explains how VistaRae handles your information. The short version: we collect nothing. Everything you create stays on your own device.
No Data Collection
VistaRae does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on any server. The extension has no backend, no analytics, no tracking, and no connection to any external service.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email, or any account information
- The content of your AI conversations
- Your browsing history or activity patterns
- Your labels, notes, or reminders
- Usage statistics or telemetry data
- Device information or IP addresses
Local Data Storage
VistaRae stores all data you create — labels, notes, moods, reminders, and settings — exclusively in Chrome's local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device.
This means:
- Your data never leaves your computer
- No one — including the VistaRae developers — can access your data
- Data is tied to your Chrome profile on your device
- You can delete all stored data at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage in Chrome settings
Permissions & Why We Need Them
VistaRae requests the following Chrome permissions. Each is used only for the stated purpose:

| unlimitedStorage | Ensures heavy users with many labeled conversations don't hit storage limits. All data remains local. |
| activeTab | Detects which AI platform tab you are currently viewing to activate the correct interface. |
| scripting | Injects the label highlight and note annotation UI into supported AI chat pages. |
| tabs | Identifies the active tab to enable platform-specific functionality on supported sites. |
| alarms | Schedules user-set reminders to trigger at the specified time, even when the AI tab isn't open. |
| notifications | Displays the system notification when a user-created reminder is triggered. |
Supported Platforms
VistaRae operates only on the following AI platforms, and only to inject its UI and read conversation structure for labeling purposes. No conversation content is read, copied, or transmitted.
Third-Party Services
VistaRae does not integrate with, share data with, or send information to any third-party services, APIs, analytics providers, or advertising networks. The extension functions entirely offline and independently.
Children's Privacy
VistaRae does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, there is no risk of collecting children's personal information.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how VistaRae handles data (for example, if we introduce optional cloud sync in a future version), we will update this Privacy Policy with a new "Last Updated" date and notify users via the Chrome Web Store listing. The updated policy will always be accessible at this URL.
